Why is Exfoliating your skin important??

Fist off What is Exfoliation?- 

Exfoliation refers to the removal of the dead skin cells on the skin’s surface. Exfoliation can be performed mechanically, by using abrasive scrubs on the skin or chemically, by using scrubs that contain special kinds of acids that dissolve and remove the dead skin cells without scrubbing

So, now why is it important- 

As we age, the process of cell regeneration slows down. This means that the body is slower to shed skin cells and generate new ones. When old skin cells start to pile up on the surface of the skin, it can leave skin looking dull, rough, and dry. Furthermore, the build-up of dead skin cells can result in excess oil and clogged pores, leading to blemishes and acne.

Proper exfoliation removes the barrier of dead skin cells clogging the skin and uncovers fresh new cells below. This opens the way for moisturizing products to penetrate more deeply into the skin, which makes them more effective. In short, a regular exfoliating routine will leave your skin looking fresh and healthy

How Often Should You Exfoliate?

We suggest exfoliating twice a week as part of a good home care regime – both the face and body. While it’s important to remove dead skin it’s also important not to strip away too many of your natural oils, so a good balance is essential.

Tuesday Training with Perfectly Posh

One thing that I love about Perfectly Posh is that they really want me to be successful! Every Tuesday they have a web training to help you stay current and be successful as a posh consultant.

I once joined another consultant based business and I got lost! They didn't have any training. I was just a number and totally left on my own. I failed BIG time!! I got my kit but had no idea on how to get out there and earn money and make it successful. It was such a bad experience!

So as you can probably imagine that I was very hesitant at starting this Posh business venture.

I can honestly say that Perfectly Posh has been very supportive, very informative, and has set me up to be successful!

I just hit my 30 day goals!!

My up-line is always there for me. I am pretty sure I ask her 100 questions a day, and she is wonderful at getting back to me!! Then like I mentioned before we have Tuesday training.

These Tuesday training are so fun, and about 30 minutes long! They often have giveaways and several ways to enter these giveaways. They are recorded so if you can't listen to it live you can always go back in and listen and re-listen at any time.

Today's Tuesday Training was on how to show your love to your customers and hosts. In the past they've done training on Taxes, Valentines day, and growing your team.

They also have additional training for you when you get started called the Posh Prep Academy. I found the Posh Prep Academy very informative and fun. Plus once you complete the Prep coarse you can earn more posh products and business tools.

Overly Saturated...

So one thing that was holding me back from joining Perfectly Posh for the longest time is that a lot of similar companies were overly saturated in my area.

I know a handful of Mary Kay reps just in my neighborhood alone!  I knew that it would be hard to start my company if it was so overly saturated.

So I went on Perfectly Posh's website and entered my zip code to see, and to my surprise  there were only 2-3 other consultants in my area!

YEAH!! This was exciting to me! First of all a lot of my friends have never heard of perfectly posh before, so I get to be the first to get the hooked on this amazing product!! Second of all I am joining the Posh pursuit at its infancy... I have a chance to build an amazing team!

Nurturing Nations

As some of you know I have teamed up with Nurturing Nations this week for a fundraiser. I want to be able to help children in Africa that have very little. I will be donating 100% of my commission earned from this party to the Nurturing Nations organization. 

What is Nurturing Nations? Nurturing Nations was created by Laura Belk. Laura has a heart of gold!!! A few years ago she went to Ghana Africa to adopt their daughter. While she was there she fell in love with the children there. I am 100% positive if Laura could bring them all home with her she would!! 

Because she can't take all the children home with her the next best thing was to create the Nurturing Nations organization. 

Their overall goal is to provide security and opportunity for children with special needs and vulnerable children.  They currently focus their efforts on orphans and children living in poverty in West Africa.  

They believe that education is key for helping children to overcome disadvantage and being able to break the cycle of poverty.  

Currently Nurturing Nations is working on building a orphanage/school. The funds earned from this party will go toward the building of the orphanage/school along with a library.  How cool is that? We can help build a school!! 

I personally do not have the funds to fly over to Africa and to build a school.  However I can do something!

I've been thinking a lot about body image and the way women value themselves.

I hope that we can be kinder to ourselves. I hope we can love ourselves.

As some of you know I am not only a perfectly posh independent consultant I am also a cosmetologist and makeup artist. The industry is saturated with people trying to be someone else, covering up who they really are with lots of makeup, and trying to fit this perfect (size 0) mold.

I dislike this about the industry! I want to help make women feel beautiful in their own skin. I don't want to make a women hide or be ashamed of who she is, I want her to shine. I don't want to make her be someone she is not.

I want you to be you!

I do not care if you are a size 0 or a size 20... you are still beautiful!

So as I start this journey with Perfectly Posh, I want you to know that I want to give you the best products. Posh products to help make your skin healthy and beautiful. I want you to be able to be confident in your own skin so you wont panic if you don't have makeup on.

Why I joined Perfectly Posh

Today I joined to be a independent consultant for Perfectly Posh. I wanted to share with you a couple of reasons why I joined.

1. I don't believe that thing happen randomly. There were a few things that lead me to this choice, and I know that it's what I am suppose to be doing. Let's just say a Christmas angel helped :)

2. I love all things hair, makeup, bubble baths, lotions, products... etc. I went to school for cosmetology and makeup and I feel like the Posh products will help me develop my talents with in the beauty industry.

3. (Goes along with # 2) but I seriously love Posh products! I am a product junky and get suckered in to trying new things that I find at the store or are recommended to me through friends, facebook, youtube....I've been using Posh products for about a year and a half now and the product just keeps on getting better. I love it!

4. I want to be able to contribute financially to my family while still being a stay at home mom. My son and husband are my number one priority!

5. Posh uses the best ingredients! I don't have to worry about using it on my son or if it is safe for my family to use.

6. I love having some girl time! I think it will be fun to host parties, meet new people, and have an outlet for me to just have some fun "me time".

7. My friends are the people I get to work with! I have some pretty awesome friends, and I know that I will gain new friends and develop stronger relationships with my existing friends.
